school and/or school children, ranging from recent years back to as early as possible. In addition, newspaper or magazine articles about the school, early presentation Bibles, exercise or text books, slates, writing implements, etc., would be most useful.
If you know of anyone who was a pupil here years ago, or a teacher, or, indeed, any relatives of such people, I should be pleased to have their names, addresses and telephone numbers so that I may enquire if they have anything of interest for the exhibition.
As a great deal of work will be involved in preparation for the Tercentenary Year, I should be grateful for an early response to this enquiry.

THANK YOU ... for the gift of a curtain which is now hanging at the north-east arch leading to the former Faussett Osborne Chapel in Hartlip church. Apart from hiding the organ and the piano, the curtain adds dignity to that particular area of the building and, on special occasions, will provide a good background for floral displays. The gift is anonymous. We are gnateful to Colonel Macklen for fitting the curtain rail.

HARTLIP SCHOOL NEWS
A good number of parents and friends attended the Leavers' Service, during which the traditional presentation of Mary Gibbon Bibles was made and flowers were placed on her tomb. The Revd. Brian Pearson gave the address. For several years he has been associated with the school, particularly as organist for our termly School Eucharist. He has since left the district to work in Pembury and we all wish him well in his new post.
Half the proceeds of the collection at the service has been sent to Gopalan, the Indian boy whom the school regularly helps. A total of £30.22 has been collected for him this year.
Leavers: The following children left the school this year:— Paul Diddams, Paul Carlton, Pater Jarvis, Jonathan Gunn, Jillian Entwistle, Nicola Lingham, Diane Cole, Helen Tyler and Tracy Page. All have gone to Westlands High School.
Peter Cockrill also left our school this year to go to Milner Court (Junior King's School, Canterbury).
We wish all our leavers happiness and success at their new Schools.
