when the appearance of the area is spoilt by damage of this kind.

I find that the Parish Council notes in the magazine are becoming a moaning section; however, it is important that the problems are made known so that we can all play a part in keeping them under control. Further break-ins have been reported and more property has been stolen, and young people have been seen roaming around the Council houses late at night. Parents should do their best to make sure that they know where their children are after dark, not least for the children's own safety.

STOCKBURY JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS

I am writing this item before the celebrations take place but, given a fine day, I am sure that it will be an afternoon and evening to remember on June llth. Further money has come in, making £180! You have all been most generous. In due course a balance sheet will be produced so that you can see how your money was spent. May I thank all those who kindly distributed envelopes and programmes? Well done! Thank you.

STOCKBURY YOUTH CLUB

The club has now been closed because of lack of helpers. Mr. E. Brown and Mr. A. Jacobs, and a few others, are to be congratulated on doing a good job over the last two years. The club was solvent and £24 was handed to the Hall Committee to be held available if at any time someone would like to start the Youth Club going again. I hope this will happen because I am sure that there is a need for a club.

MINI YOUTH CLUB

On Sunday, 3rd July we hope to have a sponsored walk around the Playing Field to help funds. Last year we raised £54 - can we do even better this year ...? Do come along at 3 p.m. and support the young generation - Mums, Dads, Grans and Grandads, friends - all of you come along!

STOCKBURY HALL AND PLAYING FIELD COMMITTEE

The Spring Fayre, despite competition from the F.A. Cup Final, was a winner. It raised £70 and thanks are due to all who made this splendid result possible. The sum of £125 has been paid off our loans and we are slowly reducing our debts. But we have to keep up our money raising ventures in order to complete the payments due on the Playing Field. It has been decided to have the piano tuned regularly twice a year to keep it in good condition.

The next major event will be the Fete and Flower Show in August. If you can help in any way please let us know, as we are always short of helpers.

THE NOT SO YOUNG CLUB

A surprise Salad Supper greeted our members at our last meeting to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the Queen. The Hall was decorated in Red, White and Blue and lovely flower arrangements had been done by one of our members.
