Pressing flowers was the subject of a talk given by Mrs. Celia Sutton at our June meeting. She showed many delightful ways in which this craft may be used, and members expressed great interest. She was thanked by Mrs. Jean Silver. Mrs. Joan Ingle told members of an accident which Mrs. Rose Marshall has had, and a "get well" card was circulated and signed.

Mrs. Dorothy Russell was thanked by Mrs. Ingle for her efforts toward the Jubilee celebrations. An excellent report on the A.G.M. at the Albert Hall was given, with details and entertainment by Mrs. Mollie Douglass. The flower o fthe month competition was won by Mrs. Juniper, and tea was provided by Mrs. Scott and her helpers.

Don't forget the July meeting will be in the garden of 'Woodpeckers', by kind permission of Mrs. Anne Hawkins, so let's hops for some summer weather, and if you can manage to bring a garden chair, it will be a great help.

STOCKBURY PARISH COUNCIL

Although there was no meeting in May, problems still come in to the Council. There has been more damage to the posts around the Village Green, for example. This is a great pity as it does involve unnecessary expenditure. I am sure that we all appreciate the hard work of Mr. George Sprott, who keeps the Green so tidy, and it is a pity ....(cont.)
