BADMINTON

We shall stop for a summer break at the end of May and start again in September.

MINI YOUTH CLUB

The club continues to provide an interest for the children on Friday evenings. It may be necessary to slightly alter the starting time as the helpers have some difficulty at present. However, all parents will be notified.

STOCKBURY HALL AND PLAYING FIELD COMMITTEE

We have now got the piano back and it has cost £240, so it should be an instrument worth playing in future. It will be tuned regularly but, of course, this will cost money, and you can all help by treating the piano with care.

Due to the high cost of electricity it has been decided to increase the Hall and Committee Room charges from the 1st of June by ten-pence per hour. It is hoped that all who use the hall will consider this reasonable. Charges for Saturday Whist Drives will remain unchanged. A review is at present going on of charges relating to bookings made, by people from outside the village.

The Committee are very concerned about the chalking on the walls of the hall which gives the building a bad image. Will parents please prevail upon their children not to do it!

STOCKBURY GARDENERS' ASSOCIATION

Our May meeting was held at the home of Mr. Frank Packman, where we saw his collection of cacti. We would like to thank Frank and Mr. and Mrs. Pearson for making us so welcome. The outing to Spalding on the 1st May was a great success and the weather was very kind to us. Our June meeting will be at 'Daynall' by kind invitation of Mr. and Mrs. Friday. Don't Forget the Cheese and Wine Evening on June 4th, at 7.30 p.m. in the Village Hall.

NOT SO YOUNG CLUB

Our meeting on 3rd May was attended by fifty members. Some people were missing because they were unwell and we hope that they will soon be better and with us again. Our thanks to all who helped at our Jumble Sale and Whist Drive on April 30th. A profit of £66.67 was made.
