STOCKBURY PARISH COUNCIL

The meeting in April was a lively one. An officer and Councillor from the District Council were present and six members of the public, who made valuable contributions to the discussion in the Democratic Half-hour.

We were given an assurance that the caravan problem in the village is being given top priority by the District Council, and it was agreed by all present that the village - has far too many caravans.

The meeting in May was cancelled and it is hoped that members of the public were not inconvenienced. The June meeting has been changed from the third Wednesday to the fourth - June 22nd.

STOCKBURY JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS

You all know the date and the time - JUNE 11th, 2.30 p.m. If you can help in any way, please give your name to any member of the Hall Committee; we are rather short of help from men! There has been a great response to our collection and we have now received £150. A special 'thanks' for being so generous. Details of events will be published later; all we want is everyone to turn up and a fine day, so that we can make it a Jubilee to remember. The dance in the evening will, we hope, cater for all ages.

Committee Member.
