CHURCH FEES

The Church Commissioners have recently introduced a new Table of Fees which came into operation on the first day of January 1977, from which date the fees for weddings and funerals have been increased considerably. The Ecclesiastical Fees Measure 1962 (which governs these matters) was last revised in 1972, and this latest revision provides me with an opportunity to comment briefly on the matter of fees, both in particular and in general.
