Sunday School every Sunday at 10.30 a.m. in the Church School.
(Children are welcome at the Parish Communion and on the last Sunday in the month, the address will be specially for the children in the congregation).

3.30 p.m. | Evensong: 3rd Sunday only. |
(Evensong is at 6.30 p.m. in the summer). |
THE VICAR WRITES ...
Monthly magazines must, inevitably, look back and look forward. What has gone on and what is to come occupies most of the space in this magazine, and it is the forthcoming events that present the challenge. They do so because it is necessary to plan ahead in order to make sure that the information needed by those who read the magazine, and who want to join in the events, is available in time. But, alas, it is not always possible to meet the challenge, and I find myself in that position this month. LENT begins on February 23rd this year and the services that are to be held in church are listed in the Calendar. So far, so good! It is with regard to the rest of Lent that it has not been possible to meet the challenge of the monthly magazine, which has to be delivered to the printer half-way through the month before publication. The point is that, although there will be something each Wednesday evening in Lent, it is not possible to give precise details as I write this article. However, I can say that we shall lie having some discussions about the questions raised by our Archbishop in the Questionnaire sent to every parish in the Canterbury Diocese for consideration and action. A discussion of the Questionnaire by our two Parochial Church Councils on January 19th took place too late for its results to be included in this magazine, and any ideas that came from that meeting will be announced in church. However, as far as I can see, the pattern on Wednesday evenings will be this: 7.30 p.m. Compline and Short Address, followed by discussian, at the Vicarage. Such a pattern will, I feel, provide for those who wish to worship and discuss, and also for those who may just wish to make a mid-week act of worship and then go quietly home. I hope that as many as possible will join in the discussion - because the Questionnaire poses some searching questions - but I am ....(cont.)
