A Recipe for — Lemon Honey

Put into a saucepan - 12ozs. butter and 2lbs. sugar; when melted add the juice and grated rind of five lemons. Beat up four eggs, and stir with the other ingredients over a moderate heat until nearly boiling. Remove from heat and cool slightly before putting into jars. Cover to store.
