MOTHERS' UNION

At our March meeting we were all given an insight into the work of a N.S.P.C.C. Inspector and, although we paled at same of the brutal stories we heard, it was good to hear that some retribution was at hand through the work of this organisation.

On May 19th, Ascension Day, we are to have a return visit from Mr. Gipson, who will be giving an illustrated talk on Aspects of Kent. We have invited the Newington and Upchurch branches to join us for this meeting.

HARTLIP YOUNG WIVES

As reported in last month's magazine, Mrs. Judith Mowll had to give up the Chairmanship and on March 15th Mrs. Jean Pyle was elected in her place. We thank Judith for all that she did for the group during her year of office and welcome Jean as our new Chairman.

We had a very enjoyable meeting on March 29th, when we were 'Swinging Along with Yvonne'. In other words, we were doing keep fit exercises to music! I think that this was one of our most successful .... (cont.)
