Welcome
Also to several newcomers to the Sanctuary Guild - Mrs. Fea, Mrs. Gamie and Mrs. Michael Webb. I can assure all the Guild that they play a definite role in assisting our church worship and their efforts do not go unnoticed by myself and many others.
Church Heating Appeal
We have almost made it! A late November tea party at "Silver Birches", organised by Mesdames Partridge, Kelvie and Fentiman, brought in a further £13 10s. 0d. Thanks to several money-raising efforts and to a very good response to our second letter in July the total now stands at £610 6s. 4d. Only £46 6s. 3d. remains to be found. Are there any who have not yet given?

Christmas Bazaar, 1965
A record net figure, of £173! Altogether a most encouraging afternoon. Almost 200 attended and there were many compliments as to our standard. Our opener, Mrs. W. B. Smith, and her husband, played a very full part, showing a really lively interest in everything and staying almost to the bitter end. A grand effort by everyone.

THE CHURCH PRIMARY SCHOOL
As an expression of the true Christmas spirit the School made a special effort last month to help those in need. In cold figures, the details are: £3 6s. 6d. to the Kent Association for the Blind; £l 8s. 0d. to Spastics (sale of seals, etc.); and £8 to the Church of England Children's Society. This last resulted from the collections at the Carol Singing and Handbells round the village on 13th December. It was cold, too! Yet even the infants kept going and we are most grateful for the presence and support of many parents and friends, some of whom gave generously of their time and cars.
May I add how much our sympathy and prayers have been with Mr. and Mrs. Snape during Nigel's serious illness. We are pleased to record that he is now recovering.
