PARISH NOTES
Congratulations
To Mr. Wakeley, and to all those who work for him, on being awarded second place in the annual Brewers' Competition for the best hops grown in this country in 1964.
Farewell
And very best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Brian Smith, who moved into their new home in Sittingbourne last month. We shall continue to remember their interest in and generosity towards several sides of our village life.
Welcome
To Mr. and Mrs. Church and their two young sons who moved into Place Stables from Barming shortly before Easter. Welcome also to Mr. and Mrs. Moate, now resident at Patrimonia. Both have considerable commitments elsewhere but we much hope they will be able to take some part in our local life.
Quick Recovery
Has been made by Mr. Frank Cox after his operation and we are delighted to see him home again so soon.
Flower Festivals
Are taking place at Hawkhurst 5th to 8th June, at Wigmore 17th to 19th June, and at Newington on 1st to 3rd July. Full details are in the church porch.
Your Help
At any time of the day, and even for an hour or two, would be very welcome on 8th to 10th June inclusive to assist in giving our church its annual spring-clean. As last year, there is work for men as well as ladies.
