W.V.S.

A kind friend from a neighbouring village has given the Clothing Store a new table-top and we have been searching the local Do-it-yourself shops for legs to fit it. One supplier has three table-legs only in stock an extraordinary situation. What could he have sold one leg for? We are now vainly searching for a wooden leg and this no doubt confirms most people's opinion that the W.V.S. makes some strange requests.
