NOT SO YOUNG CLUB
The club continues to prosper and since our last report our attendance has averaged forty-five members. The Salvation Army gave us a concert and delighted us with their singing and playing. Mr. Lawrence, from Hartlip, showed us his holiday slides of Canada, and this was very much appreciated. A successful Coffee Morning raised £50 for club funds and we would like to thank everyone who supported us in any way. Our last meeting was our Autumn Show and Supper; we enjoyed members' apple pies - with cream - and had a good evening. Flowers from the show were sent to our sick members.

THANK YOU .... to all who supported me in the Church Whist Drive on September 16th. A grand total of £39 was made, including donations, and this was on top of the £80 raised earlier in the day at the Church's Summer Fayre. A big 'thank you' to all who gave and helped in any way.

STOCKBURY CHURCH
More damage was done to the church early in October when the roof over the south aisle had a hole knocked in it and the ceiling below was also broken through to allow someone (or more than one) to climb down a rope attached to a roof beam. Nothing was stolen but again we are faced with costly repairs because of mindless action by whoever was responsible.

STOCKBURY W.I.
Our October meeting and Harvest Supper was held in the Hall and attended by about seventy members, husbands and friends. We opened with a harvest hymn and after our meal we were entertained by the 'Luke Men', a male voice choir from St. Luke's Church in Maidstone. They were warmly thanked by Mrs. Waller. The beautiful flowers in the Hall were arranged by Mrs. Sharp and Mrs. Reader, and they were thanked by our President, Mrs. Wright, who also expressed thanks to the Committee for all the hard work that had gone into a successful evening.
A raffle followed, and the competition 'A Funny Vegetable' was won by Mrs. Dodd, who also won the 'Flower of the Month' competition. Our next meeting is our A.G.M. on November 8th.
