STOCKBURY GARDENERS' ASSOCIATION
Mr. Tree gave us a very interesting talk and showed us some very colourful slides on Cacti, at our May meeting, which was enjoyed by 29 members.
Our "Cheese and Wine" evening is on June 7th at 7.30 p.m., in the Village Hall, tickets costing 50p at the door, do please come and join us, and we shall be pleased to see some of our friends from Hartlip.

REMINISCING
How time flies! Our joint Hartlip and Stockbury Magazine has now been in existence four years. I wonder if the two villages have moved closer together? I don't think they have; I think they should, but what are we doing about it?

STOCKBURY PARISH COUNCIL
Next year Maidstone are having an Arts Festival and the Parish Council hope Stockbury will participate. There will be a competition for the Best Window Boxes, £10 will be offered in prizes. Please give some thought to this. The Gardeners' Association have agreed to help and arrange the judging. How grand it will be if all the houses around the Green and the Council Houses each have a window box gay with flowers in 1976.
A skip is now provided for rubbish which cannot go in the dustbin, it is situated behind the Hall and can be used by anyone.
One of the old Parish Council minute books is missing, would every ex-Parish Councillor please check to see if they have it, and if so contact the Parish Clerk.
