PERSONAL
Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Tong wish to express their sincere thanks to everyone in the village for their kindness, sympathy and great help in their loss of David. They also wish to to thank the many people for their beautiful floral tributes and many letters, which we would like to have answered but are far too numerous. Special thanks to the Youth Club who were very kind in their offers of help and of which David was a very keen member, never missing Friday night. They much appreciated the prayers of the children of Hartlip School and many others.

Most important of all - Open Day, 21st July. All are invited, both parents and parishioners, to Choral Evensong at 7.00 p.m., when the Preacher will be Canon Alfred Hodgson, R.D., Vicar of Goosnargh in Lancashire. Canon and Mrs. Hodgson are personal friends of my wife and myself and we are very glad that he is willing to make such a long journey to be with us at our last service in Hartlip. During our years in Lancashire he was our Vicar from our teenage days until our coming to Kent, and I was his Organist and Choirmaster for eleven years.
