Young Wives'
There was a great Guy Fawkes celebration on 5th November, when a crowd of Young Wives and their families enjoyed the bonfire at Hill Farm, by kind invitation of Mr. and Mrs. W. Buck. Hot dogs and tomato soup by torchlight, fireworks and firelight, gave warmth to the cold autumn evening. It was a very happy occasion.
On 19th November at the Village Hall, Miss O. Davies described her, work with deaf children, and we saw some of their paper work. It was interesting to be put in touch with the modern approach to this problem.
On 3rd December we extend an open invitation to our lecture at the Village Hall, Kodak Colour Photography for the Amateur. We look forward to a large and enthusiastic gathering.

School News
At our Martinmas Fair we made over £25, including donations of £5. A lot of hard work went into this effort. Many thanks to all who helped and supported.
Our Christmas activities are listed in the Diary, but we would particularly appeal for your personal support when we produce our Christmas plays in the church on 13th and 16th December.
Also we have booked the Village Hall for our Annual Social Evening on 14th December. Parents, friends and children of the school are invited to share in the festivities. This year, in addition to the Fancy Dress Parade at the beginning of the evening, we have secured the services of Uncle Len, magician, from Thanet.
