Youth Club

An enjoyable evening was had when the Sittingbourne Judo Club visited us on the 29th April.

The members of the 50 mile walk mentioned last month were presented with their prizes of £l and 7/6d. record tokens, and two outings have been arranged for the summer. The first is on Sunday, June 19th, to Margate, calling at R.A.F. Manston, and the second on Saturday, July 16th to London Airport and then on the Battersea Fun-Fair in the evening. Times and cost will be announced later, and non-members, parents and friends will be welcome.

Membership of the Club is open to all young people in the Village and their friends, and is 2/6d. per year. (Membership of under-14's is at the discretion of the Committee). Members meet at the Village hall at about 7.30 every Friday, and usually get reductions up to 12/6d on seats for outings. The Club also organises film shows, indoor and outdoor sports, rambles, dances, etc. (See elsewhere in the Magazine for details of our dance and draw in aid of Christian Aid Week).
