Tea was provided by Mrs. Titcomb and her helpers and the meeting was concluded by an amusing play-reading by six members, who, we feel, have been hiding their lights under a Bushell! So good were they!

Will members please remember that the next meeting will be an evening one - at 7 p.m. on May 11th, when Mr. Wyatt will speak on Folk Songs and Dances.

Hartlip Young Wives and Mothers' Fellowship

20th April - Speaker: - Lana Ex-model to Mr. Norman Hartnell. Subject:- "Fashion Reporting for a Womens' Magazine"

Forty-five members and friends of the Fellowship were given a compact glimpse into the more hectic moments of a fashion journalist. The warm pink of matching coat/hat outfit, heralded an equally colourful personality. Her posture, poise and principles, enabled her to be disarmingly frank. One's first appraisal of a cherry is, replaced later by delight, if the subsequent content is pithy and sweet.

Many gratified thanks were expressed by the Committee to all who helped. We welcomed another Mrs. Green; Secretary of Newington Y.W. as a visitor, as well as our colleagues from other groups, at the service of our village.
