FROM THE METHODIST MINISTER
Dear Friends,
This month the Circuits of Methodism in this country will be expressing their decision with regard to closer relations with our brethren in the Anglican Church and we as a Circuit will register our vote on Wednesday, February 24th - before this Magazine comes into print. Many of us have given careful thought and much prayer to this great issue and here at Hartlip we have also given very practical proof of our desire to recognise the One-ness of Christ in the One-ness of His Church. It is now a matter of importance and regret when the two churches in the village find they have special events clashing on the same day and we try to avoid such things as much as possible.
Whatever the outcome generally, we believe the way forward is together and the difficulties in the way are secondary in importance to the truth that God is clearly saying, - Heal your differences and join your arms in comradeship, worship and witness.
May the Church that will emerge be the instrument of mighty advancement in the days to come.
DONALD WHITE.
