THE HARTLIP CHURCH MONTHLY.

SEPTEMBER, 1893.

On S. Matthew's Day, Thursday, 21st September, our bells will be re-dedicated at 7.30 p.m. There will be a special form of service used in the tower, by authority of the Archdeacon (on behalf of the Archbishop). The sermon will be by the Rev. J. Basil Rust, Vicar of All Saints', Mile End, London, E. The offertories will be for the Bell Repair Fund.

On S. Michael and All Angels' Day, Friday, 29th September, our Dedication Festival will be held. There will be Matins and Holy Communion at 11 a.m., and service with sermon at 7.30 p.m. Offertories for the Organ and Choir Fund.

The Harvest Festival will be on Sunday, 1st October - Holy Communion at 8.30 and 11 a.m.; sermon in the afternoon. The Sunday Evening Services at 6.30 p.m. will be commenced today. Offertories during the day for the Hospital.

The Annual Parish Tea will be held early in October, probably on Tuesday, the 3rd; tickets 4d. each. Magic Lantern Entertainment afterwards.

No appointment to the Organistship has yet been made.

On September l0th the offertories will be for the Church Building Society, and for the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge.

We all sympathize with Mrs. Crayden and her family in her loss. The Vicar has had the pleasure of handing her £6 2s., the amount of a collection among the parishioners kindly gathered by two of her daughters' friends.
