MARRIAGE.

June 10 - Edwin Clout and Alice Ann Lampkin.

The Girls' Friendly Society will meet fortnightly till the autumn.

The marriage of H.R.H., the Duke of York with H.S.H. Princess May of Tech, was commemorated in Hartlip on the Saturday after the ceremony, the 8th July. Mrs. Faussett Osborne gave a tea to all parishioners under 15 years of age, and other parishioners subscribed for a display of fireworks to which all were invited. A shower which fell during tea, passed off in time for the fireworks to be well shown. The bells were rung on the actual wedding-day, Thursday, 6th July.

Some of the Gillingham and Upchurch ringers visited our tower on Saturday, 22nd July, and rang changes.

The Vicar regrets that Mr. G. F. Hopkins has resigned the organistship. He has been appointed organist and choirmaster of Gillingham, which is of course a more important and remunerative post.

The offertories on 13th August will be for the Sunday School.
