THE HARTLIP CHURCH MONTHLY.

On the Thursdays in Lent (except on March 3rd), at 7.30 p.m., there will be a Short Service and Sermon. The Preachers will be :—

March 10 - Rev. H. Witherby, Vicar of St. Peter's, Rochester.
    "      7 - Rev. H. S. Cooper, Vicar of Upchurch.
    "     24 - Rev. A. C. S. Gayer, Assistant Curate of St. Margaret, Rochester.
    "     31 - Rev. J. H. Drew, Vicar of St. Mary, Strood.

On Ash Wednesday, March 2nd, the Services will be at 9 a.m. (for children), at 10 a.m., and at 7.30 p.m. (with Sermon by the Vicar), and on all Wednesdays and Fridays in Lent, at 10 a.m.

The collections £1 6s. 11½d. on 14th February were for the Sunday School, and those on 13th March, will be for the Diocesan Education Society, and on 3rd April, for Church Expenses. The total collections in January were £1 15s. 8d., and were for the Sick, Widows, and Aged Fund, and for Church Expenses.

On 28th February, and six succeeding Sundays, the Sermons in the Afternoon will be on the "Lord's Prayer," and in the Evening on "Our Prayers."

About 80 sat down to our Tea, on January 14th, and at least 100 were present at the Rev. A. Hanham's Lantern Lecture, on the Cape Colony and Church Work there. The Tea cost £1 6s. 10½d., and the tickets sold came to £1 7s. The collection was 12s. 10d., of this 5s. was given to the Rev. A. Hanham for his mission, and 7s. 10d. kept for the "Society for the Propagation of the Gospel", and will appear in the year's account. A Parochial Association was formed, - we want a good Committee to work it,
