Hartlip has a book to record the Banns of Marriage. The Banns are read out in church for three consecutive weeks before the marriage takes place. The first record in the book dates back to 1824.

Names appearing in red are maiden names. Note, the banns book is hand written and so it is possible that mistakes have been made in transcribing or that the name was written incorrectly in the first place.
The year shown in the list below refers to the year that the Banns were first read. The actual wedding may have taken place in the following year.
