CHRISTMAS IN CHURCH. - The keeping of the Christmas Festival in Church was begun after shortened evensong on Sunday, December 22nd, by a Carol Service. Passages of Scripture were read by members of the congregation and the choir, each passage being illustrated by the singing of an appropriate carol. On Tuesday the church was very tastefully decorated by a number of kind friends, and the Christmas Day services began with a celebration of Holy Communion at 7 a.m. At the three celebrations during the day, the communicants numbered 59, and several others unable through sickness, or from same other cause to communicate on Christmas Day, made their communions at one of the celebrations on one or other of the three following days. After evensong on the Sunday after Christmas, Carols were again sung. The choir boys especially did a great deal of vocal work during the festival, as on several nights before Christmas Day they went carolling round the village, and were everywhere kindly received and generously supported.

Flowers are grown at the front of the school, and are very pleasing. Condition of tools. - Excellent. Methods of correlation. - A diary is kept. Coloured plans of the cropping are drawn. The system of cropping is shown. Sections illustrate the manuring system. A list of the varieties is entered up.
