THE HARTLIP CHURCH MONTHLY.

NOVEMBER, 1893.

MARRIAGE.

October 14th. - Luke Coveney and Louisa Ellen Trice.

BURIAL.

September 30th. - Emily Kate Foley, aged 70 years.

At the Communicants' Meeting after the Parish Tea, Mr. H. G. Faussett-Osborne was duly elected as Parish representative.

The offertory on Nov. 12th will be for the National Society, which is nobly defending the religious education of English children.

The Annual Missionary Tea (usually held in January or February), may possibly be held on Tuesday, 21st November, as the Vicar has heard of a returned Missionary who may be able to give us an address on that date.

As the attendants at the Girls' Bible Class wish it to be on Wednesdays, that day will, as far possible, be kept to for the future.

The Parish Library, containing 300 books, is now open. Books are changed on Mondays at 4 p.m., at a charge of one penny a volume. The Vicar will be glad to receive presents of books for it or money to purchase them, and also he would like parishioners to suggest books they would like put in it.

He will also gladly lend books from his own library to those who care for them. Members the G.F.S. are also entitled to use, without charge, the books of the Milton Branch, which are under Mrs. Farmer's care.

Will parishioners who would like any special hymn used in Church tell the Vicar of their wish. He will also endeavour to preach on any text or subject which anyone may wish him to explain.
