The map of the graveyard in the church vestry states that the inscription to Edith Skinner is a memorial only, presumably interment is elsewhere.
The Church Banns book lists the banns of marriage for Alfred James Skinner and Edith Apps, both of the Parish of Hartlip, as having been read in July and August 1925.
The Parish Magazine for November 1964 notes that Alfred's "kindly temperament and craftsmanship will be much missed." His cremation was on October 30th and was recorded in the Parish Magazine in December.
