The plan of the churchyard in the Church's vestry states that the plot is occupied by a "Ward" and the burial entry says that Rosina Elizabeth Ward is buried here. The Parish Magazine for April 1926 listed the burial of Rosina Elizabeth Ward, aged 46, on February 27th.
However, there is no evidence of an old headstone and now the plot is occupied by a square plaque dedicated to Irene Blackwell.
Hartlip Church's banns book shows that the banns of marriage between George Henry Blackwell and Irene May Ward, both of the Parish of Hartlip, were read in August and September 1940.
