Hartlip School Punishment Book

Among the documents kept at Hartlip School is the punishment book. It covers the period from February 1909 to November 1936. Each entry gives the name of the person being punished, the date, reason for punishment and the number of strokes administered.

Picking out a certain passage of Gospel for Purification of B.V.M in Prayer Bk Luke 2.22 and calling A Jarrett's attention to same. Laughter between them. Jarrett was on the pont of, in fact, had already pointed out same portion to W. Boakes when I happened to look through partition from other class. This all took place at end of Vicar's Catechism Lesson.
