CHURCH PRIMARY SCHOOL

Term begins on 11th September, with just over 60 pupils who will be enjoying a completely redecorated school. Miss Margaret Wright will be joining the staff in the place of Mrs. Simper to teach Lower juniors. Her home is in Holyhead, Anglesey, North Wales and she has just finished her training at St. Mary's College, Bangor, obtaining a distinction in her special subject. We extend to Miss Wright a particularly warm welcome, coming so far away from home as she is. St. Michael & All Angels Day falling on a Sunday, the traditional Day School Eucharist will take place at 9.30 a.m. on Monday, 30th September.

ROUND THE SOCIETIES

7.40 Group

It is planned to re-open the Group meetings on 8th September and we hope all members will make a special effort to attend; the Rev. Philip Child, of the British and Foreign Bible Society, is coming to talk and answer questions. On 22nd September we will show "The Long March", a Christian Aid film of some repute, to which we, invite anyone who wishes to see the film and share in the general get-together at the school. A programme for the next three months is being prepared and printed copies will be sent to all who are interested.
